What is TLS-RPT?

TLS-RPT (TLS Reporting) is an email security protocol that enables reporting of TLS connection failures between mail servers.

When enabled, email receivers send you JSON reports about any TLS connection issues they encountered when receiving email from your domain. These reports help you:

  • Identify certificate problems (expiration, mismatches)
  • Detect MTA-STS policy enforcement issues
  • Monitor DANE/TLSA record problems
